encamped!
My son started YMCA camp yesterday. He loves it, but they are doing things that he is never going to be able to participate in. I wish I had been told the full week schedule before I signed him up. The only thing they said was that they were doing the Please Touch Museum in Philly as their trip. Now I find out that they are having a flour fight *which he will be ok to do* and a pudding slide ... Now the pudding slide has me in a fit. He can't be around pudding. He can't touch anyone with pudding on their skin, let alone slide around in it. I told the leader of his age group Mr. Rick and he said he will find something else for that hour. I might have to send him some toys or something to make sure he isn't totally bored for an hour. If they were doing it at the end of the day, then I would just pick him up early, but it's right after lunch...so picking him up would be useless unless they can't find something fun for him for that hour. It's not easy having a child who is allergic to milk and milk products.
