~`_ The Spirit of the Eagle speaks into the soul _'~
Interesting revelation on relationships:
The revelation has to do with how we deal with people in general and how we deal with God as being one in the same.
We ask for things to be done and expect them done right away, but when we are asked to do something we don't do it at all, don't do it right away, or we do it with mumbling and groaning.
We tell someone to give us respect, but we don't give respect to start with.
We expect other people to accomodate us, but we are not accomodating to others.
We ask for grace and mercy, but don't show those things to another.
We ask for unconditional love, but give conditions as to how and why we will give our love.
We want people to understand us, but we refuse to give the time to understand others.
And this is how we deal with our Savior, expecting Him to jump through every hoop and whim as soon as the thought arises in our minds. Yet we don't give Him the same respect. When He tells us to obey, we disobey. When He tells us to love, we find all the reasons in the world not to...and so on.
Why is it so hard to treat others as you would want to be treated?
I think it's because we don't trust others to do for us what we need to have done, even if they give us that respect to start with. We don't trust that they will continue to look for our affection and love if we give it too freely.
Some of us spend our lives like God, forever waiting for someone to give us what we desire while we give everyone what they ask for no matter what. No matter if it hurts us. No matter if it is an inconvenience to us. We still give and give freely. We still love unconditionally while others put conditions on their love for us. We still yearn for that true soul, that would give his life for us.
And many of us wait till we die
