Last night I decided to take a few dollars and my hubby, and go out on the town. As I said, the Man wasn't home yet and I wanted to go see a movie. We never got to the movies, but we still went out to dinner. I had a gift certificate for Olive Garden, so we headed to the nearest one in New Jersey. After driving around in a circle *more like a square*, we finally found the elusive restaurant and headed in. I forgot that it was Friday! You would have thought they were having a buy one get one free sale! The lines weren't nearly as bad as they would have been if we had decided to go to Mays Landing. The estimated wait time was surprisingly only half an hour, and they called us in half that time for our table. We had already ordered drinks and appetizer from the bar while we waited. I had tropical sangria...talk about tasty. He had regular sangria. Our bruschetta was lovely, too.

The waiter was the nicest one I have ever had. I felt like I was a special guest. He got everything we needed, was polite, smiled, never got angry with us for asking for things. He didn't rush us to get out after our dinner (garlic chicken & broccoli over mushroom head shaped pasta in some lovely garlicky sauce). Needless to say, he got a nice tip from the Man. I paid for dinner and murmured "happy anniversary". I wanted this to be a special night, since we aren't really sure what October is going to be like with all the stuff going on that month.

I would have liked to also get him Ninja Gaiden 2 for his anniversary present, but we don't own an xbox 360. I wonder if I could call in a few favors, get the 360 AND the game, and see his face light up when he gets the presents in hand. That would be worth all the string pulling in the world. If we had the 360, I would not even have hesitated to buy the game for him. He adores the one for his regular xbox so much! I love to see him happy.

By the time dinner was done, we were too late for any movie we wanted to watch so we headed home. Great night all in all. We finished it off by watching a kid movie and eating snacks in bed LOL!
