WELLLLLLLL... since numerous amounts of people keep bugging me about WHY im not going back to college.
First of all...
I didn't really want to go to Stockton to start with. I wanted to go to Elizabethtown. I truly believe that if I had gone to Elizabethtown I would have had the will power and stamina to finish my 4 year degree when I had the chance...
Secondly...
Is anyone going to pay off the loans I already have? Is anyone going to babysit while I go to class and study at home? Is anyone going to pay for the books and food and gas and my tuition? Is anyone going to do that? Is anyone going to go to my house and cook and clean while I am trying to get a degree I won't use because I am a housewife?
Thirdly...
If I had all that I would have to go back to Stockton. If I transfer to a community college they only take half of my credits and I would have to go for another year to finish an associates degree. In order for me to finish my bachelor's degree I need to take 7 more classes plus all the other classes they have now added to the mandatory core curriculum at Stockton. If I transfer to another college they still may not take all my credits and then I would be subject to whatever other mandatory classes they have, hence me having to stay in school full time for 6 to 7 years for a 4 year degree. I already had a burn out Spring semester 2000, not trying to go thru that again...
AND FINALLY * to anyone who has said that I need to go back *
Not that it is of any consequence to anyone else, but I am called to be a minister. I will be taking Berean courses with Global University shortly. I have already been taking classes on the internet for ministry. Just because I am not doing what people consider the "TRADITIONAL" way of going thru school, doesn't mean I am illiterate, ignorant, or uneducated. It just means that I am not following YOUR way of thinking. Just because I feel called to a purpose in GOD doesn't mean that my life is now over because I will never get that bachelor's degree you seem to cherish. It isn't life threatening not to have one. I will still be able to get a decent job paying $10 or more dollars an hour based on my experience and maturity. I don't NEED a traditional degree to get where I am going. All I NEED to do is what God says...and you are not God...
So until you are ready and willing to do all the things I have outlined in order for me to get that all precious degree you seem to covet, please don't pester me about what I am doing with my schooling.
